A month ago there was an anon that worked on menusys reimplementation for Quakespasm and Devil Dagger mod before abandoning it.
I wonder if that anon is still around as I don't think he posted any updates about this menu thing and it would've been nice to know how it went or if he's simply alright. Dude showed some pretty cool stuff that lead me thinking about whenever or not I should try myself in Quake modding at some point because he made it sound not as bad/hard.

INB4 it turns out that he worked on Violent Rumble all this time, so I would feel like a complete idiot.

menusys reimplementation of quakespasm's menu should be near done and released soon(tm) for modders to use to add new settings for their specific mods or if you want to use it with fte to replace its menu.
worth noting is that menusys existed long before this but i don't think many if any mods have used it, which is why i felt like recreating the default qs menu as i think the vast majority of the quake community is familiar with it and prefers it over fte's menus.
