But there's also GoldStar 3DO Interactive Multiplayer (which might have been better than the Panasonic models), as well as Sanyo 3DO in Japan and Samsung 3DO in Korea, even an expansion card by Creative for making your PC compatible with 3DO games. I get what you're saying that OP's image is Panasonic's own 3DO model, but 3DO was trying to be like Windows, an OS, rather than its own hardware.

Also the 699 USD thing is kind of a meme
With the launch of the Goldstar(todays LG for you zooms) it fell to 499 USD, then with the arrival of Saturn 399 and in early 1995(299) late 1995(199).
Also Goldstar promised to start developing video games but nothing materialised
