Okay, but what about something new? Everything you mentioned are sequels to at least decade old IP’s, and most people agree those series’ (with the exception of Yakuza) stopped being worthwhile a long time ago. This is a major problem with gaming today, publishers depending on a well-known name for guaranteed sales instead of stepping outside the box to try something new. Everything used to feel new all the time, but since the Xbox 360/PS3 era creativity has stagnated and is now the exception rather than the norm. The industry has gotten too big for its own good and at this point I’m feeling ready to abandon my Bloodborne machine altogether and go back to just playing old shit.
