Ever wonder where "cult classic" comes from? It couldn't exist under your restrictive and incorrect definition of "classic", as games like Super Mario Bros. 3 and Contra or NBA Jam and Altered Beast while most definitely are classics and sold well, are not "cult classics".

This is also wrong. You're exaggerating. With the exception of Gex, none of the games I mentioned were on anything other than PC or Playstation. Wow, a whopping 3 out of what, 5-9 depending on if you count the Amiga, Jaguar, 32X, Pippin, PCX and 3DO?

Look anon, not trying to be hostile here, but I don't think you put much thought behind your post.

Bottom line is that there are platformers on the Sega Saturn but it obviously was not the point of the Saturn. That would be arcade ports and the gems here and there.
