I got a bootleg NeoGeo and there's this game called Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon which they used some stages from Street Fighter Alpha 1+2 with different background characters that they probably had to use some effort to animate and convert.

I didn't win the last Powerball, so I have to stick with my Chinese emulation machine I got for $200USD a while back. The emulation is relatively accurate to the arcade versions and it allows me to add credits as I go. I still would like a real AES, but after wasting so much on tickets the last couple weeks, I have to save up some first.

I do. If I win the megamillions, I may not have to rely on them anymore.

I got a 161-in-1 and a 136-in-1 cartridge from China. They have some strange games in there, but for the most part a large majority of the games work. They are still missing games which an actual flashcart could cover, but those are really expensive. If you can afford a flash cart, that would be the better option, but if your wallet is tight the multicarts is tolerable.

They are the only way I can afford any form of gaming these days. Inflation is hitting really hard, and I've been wanting Ironclad in a transparent clear gray for a while and it is almost $60USD ... from China. I am hoping with manufacturing leaving that country, places like Vietnam, India, or Malaysia picks up the slack and make repros inexpensive again.

China. It was the last bastion for cheap video games until this COVID crap ruined even those prices from there, now I have nowhere to turn. Once this pandemic is over, I was considering traveling to the old recycle shops again, so what would be a good discrete wearable camera to film these trips?

Umm ... thanks? The eviction moratorium has been extended to March in my municipality, so I can still have pictures with it for the time being. I am hoping the current administration could offer aid to assist with making the partial payments to the landlord to avoid the catastrophe. With money and jobs hard to come by lately, these bootlegs are a means to stay frugal.

They just come as a full set when downloaded. The NES one is not even a half a gigabyte, Genesis is just barely 1, SNES is 2+change, GB is negligible, and the GBA takes up the most, but they all fit onto a SD-card.

>>7313319
I meant to tell OP that these aftermarket consoles are affordable means to enjoy some old games. Sure we know there was the originals, but they are cost prohibitive. English does not come easy for me, please understand.

>>7313324
But they are retro. It is the Super Retro Trio by Retrobit and I even use the Super Retro Advance Adapter to play some retro games.

>>7314124
No, I do not have a Retron 5. That console is really expensive, priced at almost $200USD back then, but even now at $160USD is beyond my means.

>>7314150
It is a Chinese bootleg. I intend on getting the real one from krikzz if I win the MegaMillions or Powerball.

I am not sure if it qualifies as good to others, but I like using the CBox to emulate NeoGeo bootlegs. Before the 'rona hit, I was importing a few bootleg carts from Mexico like KOF2k and Real Bout 2. The bootleg games are interesting too like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2003 which is pretty fun to me.

I got the Multigame 161-in-1 cart, it is really expensive for a bootleg but it does have a lot of games I like. Aero Fighters 3 and Gekka No Kenshi 2 doesn't really work on that one, but it does with the Super 138-in-1 if you can find the right code for them. I am curious about the cartridges on the lower left, it looks like Ketsui, Dodonpachi Doioujou, and Espgaluda which are really interesting if they are NeoGeo ports or bootlegs. At $50USD they are still really expensive, but I don't want to open my 360 box set at this time.

I like the Super 138 in 1 for the title selection, but I dislike using the dip switches to select a game. It has Twinkle Star Sprites, Shock Troopers, Ninja Combat, etc.

I don't think it is one of SNK's best games. It is one of my top 2 Mexican developed games. Shame it is so expensive, I have to resort to bootlegs to play it. The other is affordable, but not /vr/

I got a few things from China. Like all Chinese products, they can be good but will always have flaws. The CBox is a NeoGeo clone emulator console which outputs for composite, s-video, component, and RGB. The CBox also works with real NeoGeo controllers and Sega Saturn controllers. I wish it had the buttons remappable, as by default it uses the the Saturns XYZA as ABCD, which is fine for 3- or less button games, but fighting games using all 4 buttons does not work so well on that layout.

The Multigame 161-in-1 has issues playing Last Blade 2 and Sonic Wings 3, which I can confirm is true, but that is what the Super 138-in-1 can make up with. The Super 138-in-1 has an ugly wire coming out of it which requires a $2USD (from a separate Chinese seller) dip switch to choose the games. Even with all those problems, I still enjoy playing NeoGeo games with the system.

Cbox, it is like an Xbox, but Chinese. I only have three Chinese consoles, but of the three, the Cbox gets the most time from me.

Clone systems from China has gotten a lot cheaper now. I spent way more for it just a couple years ago.

I have been playing the Multigame 161-in-1 and Super 138-in-1 on a bootleg Chinese console without much issue. I don't think anyone will miss a cheap clone console if the bootleg carts take it out. There are lots of good fun games with some interesting bootleg variations of games on these multicarts.
