I've been thinking about replaying FF7 for the nth time. Is there anything I should do to spice it up this time? I was thinking of naming everyone Sephiroth for one. Suggestions?

Why is there so much disgust for this game? I mean I get if you don't think it's the greatest of all time or your tired of hearing people say it's a masterpiece but it feels most people hate it because it's popular. Are people trying that hard to be hipsters?

Game comes out, and I'm too young to play or understand anything. Brother plays the shit out of it and I watch. Don't understand anything.

15 years old, try to play it. Can't beat the first boss, give up.

22, finally buckle down and play through the entire game on christmas break. Loved it, truly a fantastic game and wish I played it when it came out.

This is why FF7 should not have an HD remake, it needs to stay preserved in its era

I know I'm not crazy here. I'm replaying FFVII, and I wanted to see the steal rates and such for enemies, but all these goddamn retarded enemy walkthroughs list the enemies in alphabetical order like that ever helps anyone whose search key isn't broken.

I know there was a guide online which listed enemies, sorted by the areas you encounter them in (so Mako Reactor No. 1 enemies, then tunnels, then Reactor No. 5, and so on), and it had pictures of each enemy along with steal rates for items.

Does anyone know of this? Hours on Google fail me!

This game is seriously overrated by nostalgiafags and weeaboos.

As someone who hasn't played this game until recently, or any Final Fantasy titles at all until recently, I think it's actually a damn good game. I think the story is considered trite by now but as someone who had no idea what to expect I thought it was very engaging. I also feel like the amount of exploration and optional content, as well as the Materia system are RPG mechanics that still hold up to this day.

It seems like when they get Final Fantasy right, they really get it it right.

Anyone want to discuss?

So did they fix the problems in the Steam version of FF7? Is it worth getting now? I've never played an FF game before and am pretty keen to try it.
