I'm interested at trying my hand in the Simcity series. The snes games look comfiest to me, so I'd like to start there. Do I go for 'SimCity' or 'SimCity 2K'? Which is better, or I guess least overwhelming? Any tips to help grasp the game without guiding me through a city plan?

I gotta say, I like SNES Simcity almost as much as 2000. What it lacks in complexity, it makes up for in atmosphere.
