Why is this game so incredibly stressful? Every time I play I feel like I'm close to having a stroke, especially during the tough platforming sections like the start of 4-2 and the end of 8-1. Beat it once in my entire life.

Is there a two player smb hack? Running nestopia on my old thinkpad. I have two nes controllers and I thought it would be fun to do. If not what is the earliest Super Mario game that has two player?

All other main Mario games suck, why do people like them? Other than nostalgia

Not even a difficult choice for '85

I remember sitting in a dark basements for hours each day when I was a kid, always dying because Mario was so damn slidey. Eventually beat it after spending practically 2 weeks locked in basement. I was proud.

Have you ever finished Super Mario Bros without using warps, cheats, or save states? If so, what did you think of it?

Undeniably one of the greatest games ever created. Timeless

For me it's always been between SMB2 and SMW, but SMB3 is just as good as either of those...

Who else here finds the NES Mario games to be difficult? I just can't get the hang of the weighty platforming physics. I can't control Mario's momentum well.

I actually find Super Ghouls and Ghosts on Snes to be easier. How to git gud at NES Mario?
