The PSP was basically just a portable PS2.

Just picked a PSP again after not having one for years, what are the best /vr/ titles to play on here? Mainly talking SNES/PS1/GBA, but other recommendations are welcome.
And what are the latest emulator versions (gpsp, snes9x, etc.)?

Is the psp still the best way to play retro games on the go, if so what's the best model to get.

we've had a couple of discussions about emulating retro games on a PSP, its pretty cheap and sturdy if you are a poorfag and cant afford a vita

but what are the best emulators you can use with this thing? I noticed retroarch is kinda trash but it does emulate PC Engine games better than the dedicated emulators I tried, also Shantae didnt have this weird menu glitch I noticed in masterboy
I assume most development went over to vita so Im not holding my breath for new updates on the homebrew front

Does the PSP still make sense as a portable emulation machine in 2019? How accurate are its emulators? I mainly want to play NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, GBC, maybe GBA if it's possible. I know it's a pretty old system, but I find it a lot more comfortable to play than my N3DSXL, and less conspicuous when playing in public, since it kind of resembles a smartphone.

Is the PSP still the best portable emulator or is there something way better now? I need tactile buttons so no one say my phone

Mods by all means delete this if not appropriate but I was wondering if this beautiful machine could be discussed here due to its emulation potential, since we did just have a Wii thread

>Genesis and NES run excellently
>SNES is decent, most games I’ve tried have worked without error
>GBC also appears to be pretty damn good
>99% of PS1 games play NATIVELY holy shit
>like $60

They are well worth their price if you want some retro stuff on the go for less than $100.

I know that the psp isn't considered retro here but since I use it as an emulator machine, I need to ask, where I can find some good batteries for it?

It seems that the battery drains even when it's turned off
