Any short-ish JRPGs you guys could recommend? I'm in the mood for some RPGs, but after playing through 50 hours of Tales of Symphonia I'm really not in the mood for another epic. I was thinking of giving Live-A-Live, but I'd like to hear other peoples' opinions, too.

Hey /vr/, I'm looking for some halfway decent retro RPGs, like pic related. I just finished Robotrek, was pretty simple, but bretty good too.

I feel like I've played them all.

Live a live is varied, has a intuitive combat system, almost no grinding, and some stories are pretty memorable.

Hey /vr/, I'm playing Live A Live for the first time and I saved the near future chapter for last. I just finished it.

I would be very thankful if somebody could explain just what the fuck was that chapter about. The rest of the stories were logical and enjoyable, and I was really digging the game. But this one is a mess. Most of the times I was wandering aimlessly trying to trigger plot events, but I have the feeling I somehow skipped a large part of them.

Am I supposed to like Matsu, who only had like three lines? What's this stuff about liquified beings living on as robots? What the fuck is that about a saint from Babylonia controlling a giant robot in ancient ages? Why does EVERY character act like all of this is completely normal and nobody demands any explanation about anything whatsoever?

Can somebody explain, please? I honestly have no idea what the fuck is going on, and the game doesn't seem to explain anything either. Especially what the whole mecha religion army thing is about.

Also, Live A Live general I guess.
