Uhm no, actual Sega controllers have much better aesthetics. M30 is a dogbone abomination.

Thanks for confirming that Nintencucks are the scum of the earth.

Cool, thanks anons. I think I can live with the scratched matte/textured parts, but if I can restore the gloss to the rest then that would be great.

Also: what is up with the D-pad plastic? On the MD and Saturn pads, it's like it has a permanent film on it sometimes.

The A button on the Genesis controller is at the bottom and is used for confirm in most games.

>1 shoulder button that's used in like 3 games

What was Sega thinking?

>like the Genesis and its D-Pad

Hold the fuck up. There are many revisions of the 3-button controller D-pad and some of them are 10/10 for action games. The non-turbo six button also has one of the best D-pads in classic gaming.

Do you prefer this style of six button or the other one with turbo options and the wigglier D-Pad, /vr/?

best console pad ever made for SF desu. the 3 button has a slightly better D-pad but you'll want the 6 button for SF for obvious reasons.

In this thread we talk about the best controller ever devised by man, and why that controller is the Sega 6 button.

This Michaelangelo shits on every controller that came before, and every controller since.

On a side note, whats the benefit of owning the 6-button controller outside fighting games? Any notable games that take advantage of 6 buttons?

Just picked up one of these for my Genesis, prior to it I have only used the regular 3 button controller. This is by far the comfiest controller I have ever held in my life. I just wish I could use it for more than just the Genesis.

That dpad..
Those perfectly aligned buttons..
That small size that fits perfectly in your hands..

You know, a lot of kids come in here and straight unashamedly say they want to play some retro games because it's in right now and we still help them but we also have to school them. Some kids come in with some kind of "I watched my mom play SMB3 when I was a baby" crap that a lot of oldfags really accept.

On the other hand, you OP are a kid after my own heart (if you are a kid). You found the actual CONTROLLERS and held them and were like "Man I need to play some games that were made to play on these controllers" and I think that's great. I love controllers.

I'm going to assume they're the original made by Nintendo or Sega, most common US controllers for all three - rectangular NES controller and three button Genesis controller (there's no later revision of the SNES controller).

So, before I recommend games tell me which of the three controllers feels the best to you. Tell me which buttons you imagine doing what.

Pic, unfortunately, probably unrelated
