"Aged poorly": something in this game mechanically doesn't work the way I expected playing 2020 AAA games. I feel it's a bad part of the game that was improved long ago by recent games of the same genre, but I'm not sure how to effectively separate this element from the game as a whole and communicate it through my review, like someone who reviews games is supposed to.

Sometimes I wonder if people in general are unable to look past graphics and the "standardized" way of doing things in games we have now. Of course some stuff really did "age poorly" (aka it's shit and it kinda was back then) but I see people complaining about a lot of stuff that is absolutely fine. Frequently those same complaints never get into what's the "obvious" fix for it, or do so without realizing it would never work without rebuilding the game from the ground up.
