Games that have permafiltered you. Pic related—I have resigned myself to the idea that I will never beat the Ninja Gaiden NES trilogy. The fact that continues are limited... it's just too much man. I don't have the strength.
I'll also probably never beat a shmup. I just don't have the patience.

Just chain knee kick everyone to death, you're basically untouchable while crounching after the landing. Sure, there are some tricky jumps here and there, but nothing impossible. 2P mode is piss easy because you just finish off the partner when he's almost dead and take his life as +1 to yours; he'll do the same to you and your total lives remains the same for the whole game.
Now if you want a difficult game there's pic related, or the legendary Battletoads.

Don't call yourself a gamer if you have never beaten American version of Ninja Gaiden III without save states
