There is no way to maintain and then increase momentum like in quake, its far more binary.

Push button recieve speed.

Strafe jumping can take a very long time to get good at, and if you're talking cpma with air control its insane how good you can get.

UTs weapons are too gimmicky and poorly designed for proper duel. THe flak cannons spread alone is enough to add enough rng.

Quake 1's multiplayer is fun, but the rockets and lg are hilariously overpowered.
