Tiberian Sun had HAMMERFEST BASE, the Nod mission where you recover something from the Scrin wreck, the mission where you have to destroy a mutant hospital (you just blow it up with a cluster bomb...), the Mammoth MK2 prototype map, the final Nod mission where you have to place the 3 ICBMs in time. GDI had the rescue Tratos mission, the ion storm one, and one where you have to recover the Disruptor Crystals (memorable because if you intercept the train at the start, you win).
There was also the first Nod mission where you got Artillery, and the cyborg commando one in the ice fields where you had to watch out because different units weighed more and cracked the ice faster.

RA2 vanilla, I still remember the final levels for both factions. And the one where you defend Einstein, and the one where you get Apocs the first time. The one where you face squids was crazy too, it had Romanov taunting to Nuke you even though you just took out his nukes. And of course you could charge up the Eiffel Tower with tesla tech.

Yuri's Revenge, the entire campaign with both sides was great. Using Hollywood heroes, Laser Moais, RUSSIAN SPACE ACE, defending the british parlament, the Casablanca mission, attacking Einsteins lab, getting Rexy in the first mission, blowing up pyramids with Tanya, and so on...

OP, play the campaign first. It starts easy and gets progressively harder to accommodate you to the gameplay. The "New Missions" are from the expansion pack, Covert Operations, and they are super hard levels meant for seasoned players who completed the original campaign.

>Learn basic RTS principles and laugh at any RTS single player campaign.

C&C has historically had fucking great level design though, see pic related. Fast rushes (99% of "RTS principles") will not work because the AI has full bases already. Even on commando missions, you need to manage your resources and be at the correct place in the correct time, not rush.

The only laughable thing in C&C is the AI logic and how badly each game scales with larger maps / unit count. Tiberian Sun was the most extreme example, it bogged down to 10 fps if you had 10 tanks on screen.
Even Westwoods latest game, Grey Goo, has speed problems that way. Probably why they are forcing the retarded population cap in their last three games. Which is fucking pointless when you have a faction with unlimited basebuilding capability that is not limited by the pop cap, but I digress.

The only way this mission can be done is if the AI screws up and ignores your army.

At one point it has 5 flamethrowers and 5 grenaiders sent your way - this is literally impossible to defeat without crippling losses that would prevent you from progressing further.

The first spy and Tanya missions are easy.

That one inside-the-building mission without Tanya is also easy, because if you progress to the southern part Tanya joins you.

The only hellish mission is this one. But its, like, the second last allied mission.
