SNES Link to the Past tracks how many lives you use and shows them during the credits. They're called "games/games played" on the SNES.

GBA Link to the Past also tracks them and shows them in the same manner during the regular credits, but more appropriately calls them "lives". If you beat the Palace of the Four Sword, it shows an extra ending (showing how things are in the Dark World instead of the Light World) and it shows how many times you've used each item, including the sword.
