So I'm finishing alttp now, and started playing me some link's awakening DX, and... why does it feel so complete? I just completed like three dungeons and yet it feels so satisfying. Is this really the best zelda game? What can you guys tell me about the oracle series?

So, /vr/, I just finished Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. What about we discuss it?

Let me tell something, the experience was kinda... underwhelming. there was a lot of hype for the game, it was good.... but not that good.

cons:
-Too much fucking around with the inventory: in a game where you only have two buttons, almost nothing is fucking automatic, making you press start all the goddamn time to select items, use the shield (so I barely used it), pull big rocks, chance the sword.
-the overworld exploration kinda sucks, first because of the convoluted menu system, and then you'll only get any results after getting the hookshot. in the 5th dungeon. until them, most caves become a dead end
-the secret seashell that can be missed if you don't do exactly what a guide says. that's fucking bullshit. you can still get the level 2 sword if you don't get all the shells, but still.
-what you can't get if you don't follow a guide is getting all photos, and if you don't take at the right moment, you miss half of them.
-most items were amazingly useless, except for the token "last boss appearance". even one of the last items you get

pros:

-the dungeons were mostly awesome. I don't have anything to complain about them, maybe except about how much time I took to noticed how to solve the Eagle Tower
-music is very good. the ballad of the wind fish is beautiful as sang by Marin. When Link plays it... Yeah
- the humor is great, and I really feel it works most of the time with the "it's a dream" theme of the game

so, what about you, /vr/?

so i just bought this game for 5€, but everytime i try to start it up, my gbc fails to read it (you know, the "nintendo" part gets all messed up on the bottom)

first thing that came to mind is if the game is a bootleg, but the cartridge itself seems ok and un-opened even...

any solutions? i've had a good bargain if this game is the real deal, and i don't want it to go to waste...
