Got a couple of questions about my CRT. It's a shitty flatscreen Magnavox that I've had for about ten years.

Firstly and most importantly, it emits a rather distracting low pitched sawtooth wave sound from the tube in addition to the characteristic high pitched CRT whine. This seems to be related to the picture, because I can hear the pitch of the sound change when I switch to an input that's disconnected (black screen). I should note that this sound comes from the tube and not the speakers.

Besides that, I can also hear a low pitched hum through the headphone jack. This hum is constant relative to the volume of the TV. I'm guessing this is a power issue, but I was wondering if anyone might be able to elaborate.

Slightly unrelated and off topic is a problem I'm having with the ancient (early 2000s) satellite box I have hooked up to that TV. I've noticed that it's having some interesting issues as it ages. Most obvious is this luma bleeding effect that happens after a bright spot in a scanline (pic related is what it would look like on a Nintendo). There is also a bit of a moire effect perpendicular to the scanlines that shifts subtly as the box tunes in to a channel (visible on the program guide too). I don't really watch TV, so this is mostly a curiosity, but if someone has any idea about what could cause these I would love to hear it.
