Why won't Nintendo release that on VC?

Kid in grade school told me his uncle worked for Nintendo and showed him the new Street Fighter game (even though its produced by Capcom). He described it to me and the only detail that I can remember was that Ken and Ryu would drink some kind of potion in the game and gain huge muscles and be stronger and have powered up moves.

I am one of the many people here that you guys convinced to give the Mega Man series a shot.

I'm currently on Mega Man 4 and I'm for the most part enjoying it, but I have a problem.

I'm using Jnes to emulate these games. I was told it was the most accurate NES emulator. After playing through 3 Mega Man games and working on the 4th, I'm wondering if this is true.

Here are the issues I'm running into:

>Sometimes when full-screen, on the right black bar bordering the game screen, a foggy mess of colors appears. This doesn't happen when I have S-Video options on.
>When an explosion occurs(like Drill Man's bombs or the Hippo enemy's missles in Ringman's stage) I find the games slowing down to a crawl. It fucks up my timing as well as my precision.
>This only happens when running right, but I see sprite distortion when the level is scrolling. This doesn't happen with Super Mario Bros 1, 2, 3, or Lost Levels, but it does happen sometimes with Batman and Castlevania. But its practically always going on in all 4 Mega Man games I've played.
>Sound fucks up sometimes or outright skips sounds.
>My charged buster shot in 4 is sometimes invisible. You can imagine how unsatisfying it feels to charge up a blast and not see it, but it still hit the enemy.

Anyway are there any NES emulators where these issues don't exist or aren't as bad? I can deal with most of these to enjoy these games with the exception of the slow down problem.

I tried fceux and the problems still occur. Am I configuring something wrong or are these just common issues with these games?

Hey /vr/. After seeing all the recent "What Mega Man game should I start with?" or whatever threads here I decided that I too should play through this series. It's been a long time coming.

I started with the first Mega Man on the NES, and I felt pretty underwhelmed. The levels were short, the music was above average with the Wily Stage theme and ElecMan's Stage theme being my favorites.

My favorite thing by far about the game was the final challenges of the game. They actually felt like challenges. I'm no vidya expert, but figuring out the best strategy(and often times, the only strategy) for each fight was exhilarating.

Basically, I can't believe I missed out on this stuff, and am really excited about the 2nd game. Do the rest hold up, /vr/? Will I like them?
