/vr/ - Retro Games

So I beat two episodes of Duke Nukem 3D for the first time. This game is pretty damn great so far.

What is your thoughts on it /vr/?

anyone knows where can I find mods/maps/campaigns for this?

I've been wanting to talk about Duke 3D's genius first level so I think you guys may appreciate this if you've never noticed it.
The first thing you do is take a drastic fall which shows a) the game is vertical in design and b) you take falling damage but that's OK because there are health packs around (since you land right on one but there's JUST ENOUGH time for you to register you've taken damage)
Then you are given a street to explore and you find that the front door is locked and you have to go around the back. Some doors are locked, others are not.

I mean, i constantly see people playing Doom II online. imo, DN3D was a better game especially in multiplayer, I know it's old but I rarely see even a single server or two on the new Steam edition of Megaton, why is this?
