I’m a zoomer (born 2k) and I just beat the first three levels of castlevania 1 on NES without getting a game over. Why do people say this game is so hard?

Is it just me, or has this game aged kinda badly?

There are no known interviews with any of the key staff of Castlevania 1-3. The games were all made by the same core staff. There are interviews with composer Kinuyo Yamashita who currently lives in New Jersey. However, it seems she never interacted with the other staff members. So we know absolutely nothing about the development of the first three games.

I think we should start campaigns to track these people down. Find them, or their associates, and interview them. Some of them may already be dead. Find people with these names. Go through them until we find the right people. We would need to employ Japan-anons to do the leg work in Japan itself.

prob Super Castlevania IV

I was scared shitless by the cover art and loved the music. I was the only kid on my block to play the game. Lived in lil mexico land. All the other kids had mario this and mario that. Never beat it while young.

Today still a great game and still has great music, Not as hard as I remember. Still fun to play.

There are people who haven't beaten this?

What's your excuse? It's easily one of the best NES games.
