I’m thinking of taking the plunge and purchasing a framemeister, any advice, tips or general anecdotes to do with it?

Since you want to do a lot of consoles you'll be best off investing in a single quality upscaler to run everything through. Pic related is generally considered the best but it's soon to go out of production so now would probably be the time to get one unless you want to gamble that something even better will come out in the future. The goal is to get pure RGB and the reason consoles like the N64 and especially the NES have their own mods is because they don't put out RGB natively (the NES doesn't even use itinternally). With something like the SNES (non-mini) you can just use a scart cable, into an adapter for the Framemeister and then HDMI from the Framemeister right to your TV. You can feed it composite or S-Video too but you won't get as pure an output. Still will be fine though and considering the limited production you might want to invest in the upscaler first before you start doing individual console mods

Currently in the market for an upscaler, thinking of saving up for a framemeister. The upscaler I got "works", but it doesn't output at 4:3, which fucks up the graphics, and it has a bit of input lag.

Anyone have an upscaler of choice? Does it output at 4:3? Input lag? is it cheaper than the framemeister
