I remember playing some RPG I think, where at the end the final boss, who kinda looks like this guy, tells you he basically created everything, and by dying everything actually disappears, so you drift through nothingness but eventually stuff comes back for no apparent reason, any idea which game that was?

OP here, replayed the game and meticulously made sure to visit every grid space and collect every item along the way. I guess I am probably up to the last boss, pic related. Just attempted him once but got bored of playing defensively and died. Does he just have a shit ton of health?

it's a Compile snoozefest homeconsole shmup like a hundred others, just with a Zelda-like worldmap exploration. It WAS my childhood though...
