/vr/ - Retro Games

So I'm a big retard and new to the whole MiSTer thing, but I've been loving it so much. I want to hook it up to my CRT, so I got an HDMI to VGA adapter for direct video and VGA to component cable. However, the picture comes out all fucked up with the screen constantly scrolling vertically in menus and games. I ran the update script and messed around with the ini file; setting composite_sync=1, ypbpr=1 and direct_video=1 but no such luck. The component cables I got look a little different than what was shown on the Amazon page, so maybe that's the issue? I'd be greatly appreciative for any help with my situation.
