Like, III had a job system. Why does no one rave about that game like they do about V? Or even II for that matter. It had a job system as well. I just felt like V was such a drop in quality from IV and VI really brought the series home before the transition to the next generation.

You can like what you like, but if that's the only thing about the game that you like, it's not a good game. I like my games to be a little more well rounded unless it's specifically built around one aspect or mechanic, which V wasn't. It's a JRPG before anything. Square tried different things with every FF game, and I just think that V is towards the bottom of the list especially when compared to it's predecessor and successor.

She was for the first half of the game, I suppose. Of course, you only need three characters to ultimately beat the game in the WoR: Celes, Edgar and Setzer. In fact, the next time I play I plan on doing the CES challenge where they're the only characters you get. It's harder, but an interesting way to play the game. I only really use 6 or maybe 7 characters anyways. I'll really miss having Cyan and Sabin, though.
