I think McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure is great. It feels sort of like a precursor to Dynamite Headdy. The same crazy creative levels and the aesthetics are there, the gameplay just isn't as good, and the bosses are not nearly as fun to fight.

I enjoyed Light Crusader a lot, but yeah, if you go into it expecting fast paced action and insane boss fights, you're going to be disappointed.

Hard Corps was made AFTER Treasure had been formed.
If I remember right, many of Treasure's original members worked on Alien Wars before leaving Konami though.
It's the same sort of deal with the 16-bit Castlevanias. Bloodlines doesn't feel all that unlike what Treasure might make, but it was made after Treasure was formed, and members of Treasure worked on Super Castlevania IV which doesn't feel much like a Treasure game at all.
I wonder if Konami cranked up the crazy to compete with Treasure after Gunstar Heroes was a success or something.
