It's purely your opinion, anon, don't pretend it's anything over that. "Pure fun factor", this shit doesn't even mean anything. R4 is among my favourite arcade racers but to this day I spend most time playing GT2 and yeah, I boot that shit at least once a week for like what, since 2003 when I got it first. What is really too much shit is this internet mentality of "anything different from what I like is shit and you're wrong for liking it". I mean, let's get you "objective" point of view about replayability. In R4 we got 8 tracks, 2 types of driving styles/handling with Drift and Grip and a bunch of vehicles to choose Wildboar is my carfu. Despite the awesome presentation and the OST which is probably the best soundtrack for a racing game to this day you have less to do than in GT2 as you have more tracks to choose from and even with same drivetrain vehicles you have huge differences in driving which will need you to adapt instead tapping the accelerator twice to drift at almost every corner. I personally prefer the more punishing drift system from the first titles., for example. So, from a replayability point of view you have less things being offered in R4 than in GT2, which doesn't turn Ridge Racer shit because I like it less.
