Using this map was a godsend for what I thought was a cryptic mess of a game. I beat LoZ last summer using that map, a pen, my wits, and an occasional walk through. I had a lot of fun, once you actually know what you're doing it becomes way more enjoyable and the land just becomes this immersive landscape with fun combat and deep challenge. Pretty fun experience. Pic related.

Sony made some 14" Trinitrons with component, they're probably crisp as a mother fucker. Finding a 14" TV with S-Video should be easy enough though, and at that size S-Video vs. Component isn't really that big a difference.

Would definitely recommend using a desk set up. I have a 13" Amiga monitor and it works beautifully on my desk next to my computer. Couldn't imagine sitting back on my couch and playing from even a moderate distance.

Been playing Zelda 1 for the first time, maximum comfy/immersion achieved. Half drawn map, comfy chair, and dim lights. Already have 9+ hours clocked in and I'm up to dungeon 8.
