Ignore the emubabies in this thread, OP. Its cool to own original hardware and carts, especially if you've got a CRT to hook them up to.
SNES has a more "timeless" library I think, but I'm really starting to come around to the Genesis's library. Its games are simpler and more arcadey, making it feel more like an extension of the NES if you like those kinds of games. They feel grungier and more metal, reminiscent of a specific time frame (the really early 90s/late 80s) unlike the SNES's previously mentioned timeless feel. Also, the Genesis is cheaper to collect for than anything you'll find on the SNES, as there's still tons of games you can find CIB for decent prices.
