I live in Tokyo so there are hundreds of arcades near me. My favorite is probably HEY in Akihabara because it has pretty much everything.

Some things I love about Japanese arcades compared to ones back home in the states:
- They still exist
- Tons of great, real games (not some golf simulator or deer hunting thing)
- Very well-maintained cabs
- No kids
- Recording equipment hooked up to cabs so you can save your runs
