/vr/ - Retro Games

I guess the Super Scope isn't a light gun technically, but I still have mine and every now and then I'll bust it out and play some Yoshi's Safari and Super Scope 6.
I actually love the Super Scope 6 games, maximum comfy and their arcade style make them infinitely replayable.

Battle Clash and Metal Combat are probably the best, Tinstar is also decent.
But to be honest, I spend most of the time fucking around with the Super Scope 6 cart. I can sink hours between Mole Patrol and Confront

I enjoyed it for what it was and played a lot of SS6, Battle Clash and Yoshi's Safari but then there wasn't much else released compatible with the scope.

Wondering which is /vr/'s favorite of the three Lazerblazer games.

I wish there were more SuperScope games.
Or that the Menacer got any worthwhile games. Wasted potential.

Super Scope games, I love it, and loved it as a kid, but I don't play it often because 6 AA batteries and it's admittedly not the most ergonomic lightgun ever created. But damn it's badass and the SS6 games all manage to bring me vivid nostalgia. I can play Intercept or Mole Patrol for hours.
Also Yoshi's Safari and Battleclash.
Speaking of lightgun games like Virtua Cop, Time Crisis, HotD. I play some home port versions, but what I miss the most is arcade centers. Most arcades in my city were closed.
And of course, NES light gun games. Duck Hunt and Wild Gun Man.

What do you guys think of the Super Scope?
Many people trash it nowadays, and I can understand it to some extent (6 AA batteries sucks), but I like the thing itself. It's not as good as a good ol' light gun, but using a bazooka is still badass, and the thing works fairly accurate provided you calibrate the aim.
I had one as a kid and played lots of Battle Clash 1 and 2, Yoshi's Safari and the Super Scope 6 games.

Super Scope 6 as in the game included with the scope? I thought that was developed by R&D1 in Japan, in fact I'm pretty sure of it, unless you mean another Super Scope game.
