I'm a puristfag for the most part so I prefer my localizations to be as close to the original as possible with as little localization required. No name or cultural changes, censorship, any of that crap. Then again I'm kind of a hypocrite when it comes to some western made games that got Japanese releases like this SuFami box for Super Turrican which I think looks better than the original western design. Then again I'm more biased towards Jap artwork.

I fucking hate Working Designs / Woosley-esqe style localizations and have no nostalgia for them at all.
