huh? I literally sold my broken CD-ROM2 to a guy in a craigslist-type deal. And since there's already at least one FPGA clone in development, not counting the MiSTer core, I don't think it's crazy to assume a PCE FPGA clone will inevitably happen. How is this hard to understand?

Get an RF cable, a PSU, and a Chinese Turbo EverDrive, and you can have every HuCard game ready to go for ~$100 or less. The PCE only gets ridiculous if you want to get into the CD-ROM stuff. Which, while it is amazing, can be emulated perfectly. I play HuCard stuff on hardware, emulate for CD.

The port of OutRun is pretty damn competent as well. Devil and Alien Crash are awesome, and the Bonk games are entertaining. I just got a PCE and a Turbo EverDrive and I've really been enjoying it, primarily for unique arcade ports. It's just a cool, overpowered 8-bit machine. If you're into the NES or Famicom, you'll probably dig it, even if you only play the HuCard Library.
