>Meanwhile Capcom has been observing the whole time
>After Inafune's flop, they decide it's safe to make a new Mega Man again
>Capcom cranks out one of the best games in the entire series, gets praise and great reviews and breaks sales records

Nothing of value was lost. You had your heart broken by Inafune, not Capcom. The game was never greenlit in the first place.
