Not OP but I don't think that's true. Take something like Dragon Spirit, which also had a much more arcade accurate port on the PC Engine. The NES release is dressed up like a console specific game with some new features, a richer story presentation etc. The stages are largely the same, and while they don't look as flashy as the other versions, it still feels great. And hell I think the NES compositions sound better than the PC Engine equivalents
