When you turn on a snes with no cartridge, does the screen go black like every other cartridge based system, or does your tv screen stay blue? Need to know for something I'm working on.

Is this the best console of all time?

Was there a single good game for this piece of shit?

Which SNES games had the best use of parallax scrolling?

Any consoles/PCs stick out as particularly ugly to you for whatever reason? For me, it's the SNES. It has a great audio chip and I love when it's used properly, but most devs seemed content with farty reverb OSTs. Graphics at well, always hit an uncomfortable spot with me, but I'm not sure why.

I'm trying to find the name of this dog I used to play on my snes as a kid. I can't remember the name but I know the intro had seagulls flying over an island and there was some carnival thing going on and the girl tries this machine and gets lost in some other dinension.

I know it's vague, but please help me if you can. I'm dying to play that game again but I can't find the name. I've tried google, YouTube, everything.

Im selling it locally, OfferUp, Craigslist and Facebook groups, im checking Jewbay but i think those prices are way overhead, would $100 for each Snes and $70 for the N64 be reasonable? have you sold something similar recently?

When I was a kid at my friend's house, if either of us ever stomped our feet his SNES would reset. What caused that exactly and how could that have been fixed? Why would the slightest of shakes make his SNES reset?

I've recently got into playing older games on emulators, and I have played around with retroarch a bit. Liking it so far.

Here's my question: As I understand it, retroarch cores are derived from existing emulators (e.g. Mednafen PSX -> Retroarch's Beetle PSX). As such, they sometimes aren't kept up to date with upstream changes, and include improvements/bugfixes not present in the original emulator.

If this is true, is there any place where I can get a comparison between retroarch cores and their associated standalone emulators? For example, I want to know if it's better to use plain-old mednafen or retroarch's Beetle PSX (in terms of accuracy and compatibility).

While this provides useful comments for many systems, are there any other resources that provide a more complete view of all retroarch cores?

Also, could you guys share your experiences with me about retroarch cores vs original emulators, and retroarch in general? FWIW, i mainly intend to play SNES, PSX, N64, and gamecube

So I found my old SNES games but don't have a system and want to buy one. Is there a difference between the model 1 and 2? Is it better to get a Super Famicom, I know you can easily mode the SNES to be region free does the reverse work?
