PS1 and 2 were the worst consoles of their generations. They appealed to non-gamers and the lowest common denominator. Nintendo was always for real gamers who valued gameplay. Top devs like Konami realized this. Playstation didn't get it's first good exclusive until PS3 (Demon's Souls).
