Just like most of the turds on sale today it's missing pin 16 for the blanking signal, so won't work on any TV where you can't manually select RGB.

BVMs have higher picture quality and have more easily accessible adjustments. They are also generally more expensive and larger/heavier.

PVMs can vary greatly in quality, from pleb-grade units with composite-only inputs to multi-format 1080i monsters.

BVMs are not for medical use, PVMs with model numbers ending with MD are. They are notable in that they have white cabinets (PVMs are normally grey) and optional covers so you don't get blood and guts in the vents or controls.
