I would agree with that sentiment. There's some stuff on the GBA, a game here and there on the GC/PS2/XBOX and retro-style PC games but honestly I don't enjoy newer games at all.

Despite the youtube memery, the two side-scrolling Zelda games aren't bad.

The biggest issue is obtuse menus and sluggish animation cycles common in western PC titles of the time.

Youtubers just exaggerate the bad and hide the fun parts of the games.
