I first came online in February of 1999 because I had gotten a PC for my 11th birthday, and holy fuck I was crazily in to Pokemon. Of course, I came on during the heyday of POKEGODS/PIKABLU/etc. shit. After following one really long and complicated fake code to get some awesome ultimate dragon Pokemon, I quickly learned that everything on the internet isn't real.
