So one thing I've noticed about PC-98 eroge is that the openings are usually filled with information about the setting or story. For instance, Rance 3's OP and Rance 4's provide some pretty neat backstories with some nice CGs not found anywhere else in the game. It seems this kind of informative approach was dropped for OP songs and heroine introduction and a bunch of CGs.

There are also OPs like Yu-no which provide neat little clues about the game like the clock mechanism
