I'm curious but what makes Necro OP? I'm getting into HoMM 3 for the first time. I didn't go for Necro because they're OP but I'm just usually inclined towards skeletons and undead units.

I've only played about 10 hours but I haven't really seen anything outstandingly special besides the skeleton transformer.

Heroes that have diplomacy seem more useful since as a Necro I rarely get units that want to join my cause
