What is the "true" color of the early original Game Boy games that aren't enhanced for the Super Game Boy or Game Boy Color?

The original Game Boy models, including the Pocket and Light, were monochromatic but the Pocket didn't have a greenish or blueish tint like the original and Light, respectively.

So are the games black-and-white or just monochromatic? On an emulator like BGB, what would be the "correct" color palette for a DMG game?
