Hi /v/.
We actually knew the PS1's catalogue since before you were born, and before the PSN cherrypicked some overrated games for you.

>more mature platforms
Just more mature marketing. In practice, it's not really like that.

You mean what Sega was already doing? Using the whole "mature gamer" shenanigans to market their system?

There are people with nostalgia for PS1 and PS2 too (see: >>2837795 "all the interesting games and everything else was at Sony", lol).
Which are infested with shovelware, 90% of the library is shovelware on those consoles, which is not to say they don't also have amazing games though, but they're not as many as people claim).

No matter how big the library of a console is, the really, really good titles are always around 30, 40 or so. Sturgeon's law applies to video games as well.

welcome to /vr/, also consoles were always kid-friendly. N64 had lots of sports games, wrestling games, and of course, Goldeneye, which many adult people enjoyed back in the day.

PS1 had more kiddy shovelware than the N64 ever did due to it having a bigger install base.

Enjoy your stay and try to shitpost less next time.

Yeah, I see you took some time to download a bunch of pictures and posted it on here, so for that effort I must thank you or something I guess.
But I never said that N64 didn't have shovelware. There were more (and worse) shovelware on the PS1 though.
