op is attacking 4 oddly specific games
but not liking popular things doesn't make you interesting kek

the "death of good gaymen" in my professional opinion
was the direct result of corporatism
once it became a financially lucrative option
mega-corps rushed in and the race to the bottom began
now as a generalization
"games" are literally just hammering one button to win
+waiting 20 hours or more through unskippable cutscenes\tutorials\bloat\handholding

no one is holding a gun to your head OP
just play what you enjoy brother

old \vr\ was better but it was also VERY SLOW
i think that was the deciding factor
it wasn't even a personal\emotionally invested decision
you cant justify having the board if threads last 3 months at a time
the deepcuts for ps1, pc engine cd, sega cd, etc
that got shared were incredible though
i do miss that overall aesthetic
