I almost dropped 400 or so bucks on GERMS
I don't know if I regret missing out on it or not. It is a stupid thing to waste money on, but it is something I probably won't ever get the chance to get again.

If your argument is that most video game players don’t care then I agree. You think they don’t care because anything that reaches for something greater than a dopamine rush is shit...I think they don’t care because most game players are retarded or developmentally delayed. When I think of these kinds of games a few come to mind. Aquanauts Holiday and a lot of the other stuff Artdink made at the time were really interesting. It seems like they either made avant garde works or simulation games. Also I'm not sure if it fits but the game Germs on the PS1 is also very interesting and bizarre. It also has some of the strangest cover art ever made. Great thread OP. Much more interesting than 99% of the board.

Germs has sort gained a reputation similar to LSD, though nowhere near as popular. It's a real bizarre first person horror with really low poly models and enviornments, has a real surreal feel to it.

Germs.

It plays sort of like LSD but with a less surreal atmosohere and some focus on combat. It's not really scary as a horror game but the game's extremely primative 3d enviorments makes things feel odd and sort of tense.
