This game makes me want to BLOW MY GODDAMN BRAINS OUT!

Let me see if I understand.
>You want 3 different character types.
>White Mage, Black Mage, and Fighter
>You train each one of them by using their specialty over and over again.
But then how come my healer, Firion won't fucking level up? I mean I never use his Cure spell because I tend not to need it, and besides you gain levels for ending a battle on low HP so why would I, but I've even tried using the select/cancel trick. Why I am I not seeing any results?
