I don't think you've e er actually played ff7. Most of the side quests in ff7 take multiple playthrough to even catch onto them, unless you have a guide. Multiple people played through the game without getting yufi or Vincent. I never got yufi my first couple play throughs. Many people never breed chocobos or even knew how to get gold chocobo or even a green or blue one. Many people didn't do the battle square, many people didn't waste countless hours in the battle square or game square, because they were unaware of the actual prizes. Many people didn't beat emerald or ruby weapon. Etc... Most of the cool shit in ff7 can be skipped/missed quite easily, which makes the game much quicker to play. You don't need a guide to beat ff7 it's fucking straight forward, story wise. You definitely need a guide to get all the enemy skills, do the fort condor quest correctly, breed gold chocobo not randomly, get each characters date with cloud, get all huge materias. Like I said, I don't think you've actually played ff7.
