If you had to have only one console/device to play retro games, which would it be?
I do not regret buying a hacked pic related with just a gamecube controller.

My Wii stopped outputting 480p but still does 480i. Any idea what could be wrong?

What's the latest home console you consider 'retro' and why? For me, the Wii's starting to get there

Basically the N64 2.0 but the novelty of playing nintendo games in 3D for the first time had worn off. If you were in elementary school (like I was) when it was relevant you have fond memories of it. If you were over 12 during the six gen (like my older brother was) Gamecube was probably the least appealing console. He opted to get an Xbox instead.

Now the Gamecube Move, that was a great add-on.

Is the Wii a good emulation machine yet or is it still unable to play games like Yoshi's Story for N64?

Is the Wii decent as a retro emulation box? I don't need to play 6th gen PS2/Xbox or even Dreamcast games, I just want to have the full N64 library which it should be able to handle right?

The Gamecube was solid performance-wise, it was just a worse option than the other consoles of its gen. It played discs so you increased load times from the N64 and required memory cards, but there was no CD playback, no DVD playback, no GTAs, and the only online game was a jarpig ported from the Dreamcast. The controller was sturdy and all-time comfy so props for that.
Overall it was a downgrade from the N64. The Gamecube Move was a much better idea.

I just recently unearthed my old wonderful wii that I modded 3-5 years ago. Any major emulation developments since then? Namely Saturn, dare I ask Dreamcast?

No, pic related. And I have limited experience with it (only played it twice) but I think the Switch is a good system. Much much better than the newest pozzedstation/xboxes

I've been emulating dreamcast on my raspberry pi no problem, but I got a wii because everyone said it would be better for emulation. I can't figure out how to run dreamcast games on it though, can anyone help me? Is it possible, or did I just get memed?
