Amature calibration 101
Requirements: a way to display SMPTE color bars (i.e. 240p test suite), blue only mode/ability to turn off individual color guns on set, or blue gel filter

Color/chroma: enter blue only mode and adjust first and last color bars (grey and blue) until the grey and blue evenly blend together

Tint/hue: again in blue only mode, adjust cyan/magenta bars until they evenly blend with the above/below colors

Black level/brightness: lower brightness till three strips of black in lower right (PLUGE) all fade to black. Turn up brightness until the far right bar becomes visible

White level/contrast: lower brightness all the way and turn up until white box warps/blooms/distorts
